Heres a track I recorded a while back using nothing but Pod Farms Line 6 treadplate.Īt the time I wasn't good at programming drums (nor did I have a proper drum mapping program) so its mostly just a few beats that I threw together, not humanzied or anything but I think the guitar tones are decent enough. I've gotten decent tones out of pod farm using nothing but pod farm, a bit of compression and EQing. Enjoy Requirements:- POD Farm 2.5 and a compatible Line 6 POD device (GX, UX-1, UX-2)- Metal. Ive tryed impulses, and they are great but honestly my computer just can't handle them. The Metal Shop Pack expansion is required to use this tone. Get a really good bass tone, some people like to record a clean bass tone and then a distorted bass tone and mix them together to get a fatter sound and big low end that a lot of home recordings are missing. The most important step I think is EQing the guitars to fit in the mix properly. Try double tracking your guitars with slightly different tones on each, use less gain to get a bigger sound that isn't muddy and then pan 96% left and 96% right. Honestly man, POD farm sounds like shit on its own, you have to start by getting a decent working tone with it, and then it will sound okay when you record over a drum track and add bass guitar. 1 Vose Farm Rd., Peterborough, NH, USA 03458 (888) 463-6367 78 Dealers.
